There is no single model for innovation

Eli Lilly chief executive John Lechleiter tells Andrew Jack, the FT’s pharmaceutical correspondent, that the company is using many different tools to expand their “universe of knowledge”. Lechleiter also says that while it has yet to feel the “squeeze” of the economic pressures in the US, it is concerned about long-term effects of high unemployment and the government’s ability to respond.
